Overall, your support coordinator’s role is to assist you in developing your capacity and gaining access to all of the possibilities and opportunities available to you. Your unique needs, desires, and objectives will determine the function of support coordination in your particular plan.
Your support coordinator is there to help you understand your plan and access the resources and services that will help you achieve your objectives. From vacation planning to crisis management, your support coordinator will act as a personal research tool to assist you in utilizing your NDIS funding and engaging with your other service providers.
Why is support coordination necessary?
Because NDIS participants are frequently unaware of all the ways they can use their NDIS funding, a support coordinator is assigned to ensure you’re making the most of your plan. To get the help and support you need, it’s important to know what your plan includes. Having someone on your team who is familiar with NDIS funding is very helpful.
Our support coordinators at Bila Community Group are committed to identifying and understanding the range of local service providers available to you as an NDIS participant. As a result, we can offer you a variety of options to ensure you have choice and control over who you work with.
Your designated support coordinator will help you carry out your plan. This includes negotiating with support providers, making and managing service agreements, and being your point of contact if your situation changes.
